Occasionally you also come across a spur gear that is deformed - usually a degree of warping, and THAT will sure create noise.Ĭertainly the "system" works though, and you shouldn't ever need to do radical things like hacking motor pods etc. If THAT doesn't get the mesh to where it is quiet, there must be something wrong with either the spur or pinion as these cars are usually very quiet. ![]() ![]() Good thinking from Tamar especially with using motor locking screws to give a fraction of wriggle on the mesh. ![]()
